Jorge Bande, the memory of a story made into a museum in Corduente

This Jorge Bande Museum is named after the Luxembourg industrialist responsible for raising the Corduente ammunition factory in the mid-16th century and includes an interesting sample of utensils used in traditional crafts and other activities derived from the subsistence economy of a rural society that existed until just a few decades ago.

Agriculture, resin extraction, grazing, beekeeping, lavender collection and distillation, hunting and fishing were just some of the activities by which the inhabitants of that area lived. The exhibition has been completed with donations from former neighbors and is structured through the environments of each practice, for better understanding.

The Jorge Bande museum is located in the City Hall building of Corduent.
