I am an ecotourist

Ecotourism Club in Spain

Ecotourism is a way of traveling to approach and get to know natural spaces in a responsible manner, respecting their balance, minimizing environmental impacts and enjoying them through the experiences offered by companies committed to nature conservation. When we do ecotourism we not only get to know and enjoy the places we visit, but we also protect their values (natural, cultural, ethnographic, gastronomic, etc.), favoring an opportunity for sustainable development in these territories.

The quality of the skies of Molina-Alto Tajo are valued with the highest Starlight certification for astronomical tourism. Since January 2021 they have been a Starlight Reserve.
A Starlight Reserve is a protected natural space where a commitment is established to defend the quality of the night sky and access to starlight.
Our Geopark is a place with the best conditions for astronomical observation.
This certificate establishes a commitment to the defense of the quality of the sky, access to starlight and the different associated values, whether cultural, scientific, astronomical, landscape or natural.
Main requirements:
-Have dark skies little affected by light pollution.
-Atmospheric conditions that allow achieving a high degree of clarity in observing the sky.
-That the atmosphere has adequate transparency.
-An adequate percentage of clear nights throughout the year.
Furthermore, in May 2021, 44 students were trained in the Starlight Astronomical Monitors Course in order to disseminate this rich heritage, which belongs to us all.
