Visit the museum to better understand how the kaolin mining process works
The building of the old Peñalén schools houses this museum that presents an overview of the mining of the Molina-Alto Tajo Region UNESCO World Geopark. We will find references to the most representative mining operations throughout history, from its beginnings in the Iron Age to the present, as well as the uses of the products obtained. Of particular importance is the extraction of kaolin and the work aimed at alleviating the resulting environmental impact, as well as the restoration of the debris generated in these works.
