On this route, which takes in some of the most spectacular places in the Geopark, you can see different types of rocks and discover what the environment in which they were formed was like. Specifically, you will visit rocks formed in ancient rivers, beaches and shallow seas. The reason is that, between the Triassic and Jurassic, in a slow process that lasted more than 50 million years, the sea flooded the continent, forming different types of rocks as a record of the great flood. Therefore, following this route is like taking a trip to an ancient sea, which covered this entire area 200 million years ago.
