EXPERIENCE THE CELTÍBEROS OF ALTO TAJO

Learn how the Celtiberians lived and discover a geological paradise in Checa.

Interpreted activity where we will discover in a dynamic and enjoyable way how the pre-Roman Celtiberian people who settled in the Alto Tajo area lived and what importance they had.

We will begin by visiting, one of the paradises for geologists, the living building of calcareous tuffs of Aguaspeña, its living part, fed by water and its dead part, to understand the reason for this wonderful enclave.

We will learn about the importance of the Celtiberian site of Castril Griegos, what they did, how they built it, what their customs and rites were. We will catch up on the recent discoveries in this archaeological campaign and what mysteries have been revealed waiting to enjoy a spectacular sunset with unbeatable views from the top of the fort.

Then we will move to the beautiful town of Checa where we will try some magnificent portions with local products from the Sierra such as blood sausage, sobrasada and artisan bakery products.
