Characteristic habitat: pine forests, juniper forests, holm oak forests and mixed forests. Formations of creeping juniper forest. Shrub substrate:
bushings, alligators, etc. Oromediterranean calcareous meadows. Substeppic areas of grasses and annuals.
Outstanding values and most representative and unique species: well-preserved and extensive forest formations.
Flora species of interest: Artemisia pedemontana, Genista rigidissima, Rosa sicula, Rosa pimpinellifolia and Ribes uva-crispa.
Mammals: badger, wild cat, genet and weasel. Birds: golden eagle, peregrine falcon, griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture and eagle owl.
Vulnerability and possible threats: alterations in the landscape and in the degree of naturalness of the area due to the construction of
roads, highways, power lines, or installation of new energy infrastructure.
