Hombrados Open Museum
Hombrados, a town made into a Museum
Open Museum, or town of trades?
In other times they occupied the threshing floors, fields, workshops and houses of our towns and today they return to the streets of Shouldered. Nine booths and some uncovered points, spread throughout different streets of the town with explanatory signs so that the visitor knows how the agricultural machinery of the last 100 years works and can get an idea of what it was used for, and all of this within a short walk through the cultural complex into which Hombrados has been transformed thanks to its Open Museum.
Throughout the entire urban center of the town, it is possible to find winnowing machines - used to separate grain and straw after threshing and which have now been replaced by tractors and combines -, with a flour sifter that managed to obtain three types of flour, depending on their thickness; cultivators, saddlebags, axes, yokes, pitchforks, cattle scales, wine vats, jars or even old kitchens.
The visit is completely free, and the walk is comfortable and enjoyable, suitable for all audiences.
